1993: The Center is founded.
In 1993 Montana State University - Bozeman founded the Burns Technology Center to reach distant audiences using telecommunications and
evolving resources. The BTC was named after U.S. Senator Conrad Burns,
a national advocate for enhancing rural vitality using affordable telecommunications
resources.
1997: The BTC opens its doors.
In February of 1997, the BTC opened the doors of its new state-of-the-art
facility in the Engineering/Physical Sciences Building and continued
to advance the outreach and education missions of the University.
