Mercury's Transit
On November 15, 1999,
the western Hemisphere experienced an astronomical event unseen for 25
years. On that day the planet Mercury passed between the Earth and the
Sun - an event known as a transit. This web site contains information,
animations, and photos of this unusual astronomical event.
