The Nine Planets is an overview of the history, mythology,
and current scientific knowledge of each of the planets and moons
in our Solar System. Each page has text and images, some have
sounds and movies; most provide references to additional related

The National Space Science Data Center (NSSDC) is NASA's archive

On November 15, 1999, the western Hemisphere experienced an astronomical
event unseen for 25 years. On that day the planet Mercury passed
between the Earth and the Sun - an event known as a transit. This
