INSTALLING IMAGE SOFTWARE
In brief: Download either NIH Image (if you're using a Mac) or Scion Image PC (if you're using a PC or Windows) -- I will refer to both as "Image". Install it on your computer. Download the TIFF (image) file attached to the MSU Link message (image.TIF). Go into Image and open the TIFF. Change the color scale and save the results. Attach this new file to your homework submission.

When you download Images they will be in GIF for JPG format. To import them into the Image Processing Software, you will need to convert these to a TIFF format. You may already have software that will do this, but you may need to download an Image Editor that will convert images. You can find one online at:
