Course Description: Join Michael Fox, Curator of History at the Museum of the Rockies, for a behind the scenes look at how museums create exhibitions and care for their collections. Mr. Fox will lead participants through the history collection of MOR and discuss the process of building a museum exhibition from concept to finished product. Along the way, participants will visit the museum’s fabrication shop, exhibition preparation areas and get a peek at the final preparations for the major traveling exhibition “King Tut: Wonderful Things from the Pharaoh’s Tomb”.

Instructor(s): Michael Fox. Fox serves as the Curator of History for the Museum of the Rockies. His past experience includes work with the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, the Autry Center for the Study of the American West, The Smithsonian Institutions Traveling Exhibition Service and the National Portrait Gallery. His particular interest is in the history of the 19th and 20th Century American West.
