Course Description: John Watts will give a presentation on Montana Native American culture and will describe the history and significance of each individual dance. The purpose of the Side Trip is to increase understanding and encourage attendance to this unique event that will be held at Montana State University Fieldhouse, April 13 and 14, 2007.

Meeting Place and Times: 3-5 p.m, Pilgrim Congregational Church on South 3rd

Instructor(s): John Watts. Watts has taught English at Montana State University and on the Crow Reservation at Lodge Grass, Montana. He is an adopted member of the Crow Tribe and his two children are Crow tribal members. He is now Director of AIRO, American Indian Research Opportunities at MSU.
