Course Description: Dr. Susan Wicklund, a local physician, has been providing women with reproductive health services for 20 years. This subject is rife with controversy, often referred to in political and legal terms. In personal terms, however, this incredibly common procedure of first trimester abortion is kept secret by women and providers alike. Dr. Wicklund will talk about the issues surrounding this common secret, the choices we make, and the choices she has made in her personal and professional lives.

Instructor(s): Susan Wicklund, MD. Susan Wicklund, MD grew up in a working class, rural family in the Midwest. At the age of 26, she was a single mother on federal and state assistance when she decided to start college aiming for a degree in medicine. She has worked in Women’s Reproductive Health since earning her Medical Degree in 1987. Dr. Wicklund has worked in clinics throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and Montana. She is currently practicing in Bozeman.
