Course Description: The course focuses on the economic, social and environmental issues centered around recent energy exploration and development in the Bakken Formation of Montana and North Dakota. It will explore multiple aspects: is it a benefit to the nation’s energy policy and Montana’s economy? How can we factor in the environmental and societal issues that have arisen?
