Course DescriptionThe course examines the computing field and how it impacts the human condition. Exciting ideas and influential people are introduced. A gentle introduction to computational thinking using the Python programming language is provided. The course also introduces participants to robotic platforms.

Instructor(s)Hunter Lloyd, MS. Mr. Hunter Lloyd is an adjunct instructor in the Computer Science department at Montana State University since 1998. Mr. Lloyd has taught numerous courses at Montana State University in the Computer Science and Engineering departments. In addition, Mr. Lloyd has reviewed and published computer science texts and has been awarded research grants for computer science related projects. Mr. Lloyd holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Montana State University.
PrerequisitesGraduate standing and 2 years of teaching experience.
Target Audience7 - 12 grade teachers who are working on the MSSE degree and who want to learn how to incorporate computational ideas into the classroom.
