Course DescriptionThis seminar provides information on safe school laboratory practices including protocols for chemical purchase, storage, and disposal, as well as safety equipment. Evaluation and modification of common laboratory experiments and demonstrations will be included, with participants providing sample lab exercises for evaluation. Explicit chemical fire control procedures will be addressed with a hands-on fire extinguishing experience. A $30 registration fee is also charged once per semester. The costs above assume that you are taking only MSU Extended University courses during the semester that the course is offered.
