Course Description: The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity for students to improve academic skills as follows, assess learning styles, goals and goal-setting, assess and learn specific study skills, improve retention prospects, plan use of time and academic resources, explore motivation and the demands students face.
The following topics will also be covered; time management, note taking, reading textbooks, memory techniques, test taking strategies, test anxiety, motivation and procrastination, and writing research papers.
