To add a page or tool to your MSU WebCT course.

Go into your course from your "My_WebCT" page.

Select "Add Page or Tool"-- there are three main routes to do this:

From the homepage of your course (the link appears over to the right)...

OR

Select the "Control Panel"

and then select "Add Page or Tool".

OR

If you have elected to "Show designer links" (by going into course settings and updating that option)-- "Add Page or Tool" can be accessed from under the course menu (over to the left).


After selecting the "Add Page or Tool" hotlink, all available page(s) and tool(s) are accessed from the "Add Page or Tool" area (illustrated below). Each page or tool is a selectable hotlink. Selecting a page or tool adds it to the course so that the designer can use the page or tool  to help create a functional "distance learning" or "supplementary" (a.k.a. "hybrid") experience for the student.


About the Wizards feature associated with "Add Page or Tool"

When "Use a wizard when available" is selected (as below), wizard "wands" appear next to the page or tool that has a wizard associated with it.
When a page or tool that has an associated wizard is added to the course, the wizard is automatically enabled-- you are "in" the wizard right away.

If you de-select "Use a wizard when available" (as below), wizard "wands" disappear from next to the page or tool that has a wizard associated with it.
The wizards will still be available for use when working in the tool or on the page, but will not be automatically enabled.
